India is home to hundreds of textile businesses that sell a range of textile products to international markets. The Indian textile export is growing significantly, and the GOI has left no stone unturned to help viscose and Cotton Yarn Manufacturers in India with governing policies and assistance. And therefore, the Government of India has set up Export Promotional Councils to assist Indian textile companies in expanding their businesses internationally.
The Role of Export Promotional Councils in Textile Trading
The main role of a council is to promote a product and its sub-categories and support exports from the sector. This improves business opportunities for woven and knitted fabric manufacturers as well as yarn and fiber sellers and positively affects the economy.
Currently, there are 26 export promotional councils. Out of which, 11 promote textile products and textile businesses. Example: Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council helps cotton yarn manufacturers in India with cotton exports.
